Diagnosis
The auto-shutoff feature is activating prematurely. This model has a safety shutoff (usually around 30-60 minutes), but a faulty sensor or thermostat can cause it to trigger much sooner.
How to Fix It
Rule out simple causes first.
1. Ensure you are actively using it. The motion sensor might not detect movement if the iron is left stationary on a counter or table.
2. Check that the temperature dial isn't stuck between settings, which can confuse the internal circuit.
3. Try cycling the temperature dial from the lowest to highest setting several times with the iron on to clear any sensor glitch.
If That Didn't Work
The internal thermostat is likely defective and reading the temperature incorrectly, causing it to think it's overheating or has been idle. This requires professional repair.
