DIAGNOSIS A loud humming or buzzing from the base during heating is typically the cooling fan or the switching power supply. This is often normal but can indicate a failing fan.
FIX 1. Confirm the noise occurs during the heating phase (pre-heat or ‘On’ display), not during pressure release. 2. Ensure the unit is on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface with at least 5 inches of clearance on all sides. 3. Check that the air intake vents on the bottom and sides are not blocked by a tablecloth or cabinet walls. 4. Unplug the unit and use a can of compressed air to gently clear dust from the bottom vent slots.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the buzz is new, very loud, or accompanied by a burning smell, discontinue use immediately. The fan motor or power supply may be failing. Contact support.
HEADS UP Some low-frequency hum during operation is normal for the magnetic induction heating system. A high-pitched whine during pre-heat is also common.
