my m6 robot mop is leaving streaks and not cleaning well

— asked by Jordan

Streaks usually mean the pad is dirty, the tank is empty, or you're trying to mop over large debris.

Let's fix it step-by-step:

  1. Use a new pad. You should use a new, dry Braava jet m Series pad for each cleaning job. Do not pre-wet it. If you're using a washable pad, make sure it's thoroughly clean and completely dry before reusing.
  2. Check the tank. Make sure it's filled to the top with water. If you're using cleaning solution, add 6 capfuls of Braava jet Hard Floor Cleaning Solution to the empty tank first, then add water.
  3. Vacuum first. For optimal mopping, vacuum your floors to pick up large dirt and debris before running the Braava jet.

If that didn't work: Adjust the cleaning settings in the iRobot HOME App. You can modify the cleaning power, speed, and water spray amount for a deeper clean. Also, clean the spray nozzle on the bottom of the robot with a damp cloth to ensure it's not clogged.

Heads up: The robot is designed to clean each spot three times with some overlap. For a quicker clean, you can adjust the coverage in the app.
