Diagnosis
This is almost always a power supply issue, either at the wall or the connection to the TV itself. The internal power board is rarely the first culprit.
How to Fix It
Start simple. First, check your power strip or wall outlet is working. Then, trace the power cable from the TV to the wall. Make sure the plug is fully seated at both ends—the one going into the TV’s back can be stiff and might not be pushed in all the way. You’ll feel it click. Unplug it and plug it back in firmly. Then try the power button on the remote or the TV.
If That Didn't Work
Try a completely different power outlet on a different circuit. If it suddenly works, the original outlet or power strip is the problem. If it’s still dead with a known-good outlet, it's time to contact Samsung support, as the power supply unit might be faulty.
Heads Up
Don’t immediately assume the TV is bricked. These new slim power cords can look plugged in but not be making full contact. Always test that first before going through a warranty claim.
