DIAGNOSIS HDMI 2 port on this model might have a different specification or handshake issue with the PS5's high-bandwidth signal. It's a known quirk; the ports are not always identical in performance.
FIX Use HDMI 1 for your PS5 and reserve HDMI 2 for a secondary device.
- Power everything off. Connect the PS5 to the monitor's HDMI 1 port using a certified Ultra High Speed HDMI cable (the one that came with the PS5 is ideal).
- Turn on the PS5 first, then turn on the monitor.
- If the PS5 is set to output 4K or 120Hz, it will automatically adjust to the monitor's 1080p 100Hz limit.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Manually reset the PS5's video output. Boot the PS5 in safe mode (turn off, then hold the power button until you hear a second beep). Connect it to HDMI 1, then in safe mode select 'Change Video Output' and set it to 1080p.
HEADS UP The PS5 will not output 120Hz on this monitor, as it requires HDMI 2.1 for 1080p/120Hz in some titles. You'll be capped at 60Hz from the console, but AMD FreeSync will still work within that range if enabled in the monitor's OSD.
