DIAGNOSIS The monitor is losing the video signal, triggering its auto-sleep mode. This is almost always a cable or connection issue, not a Windows power setting.
FIX Replace your video cable first.
- Swap out your current HDMI or DisplayPort cable for a certified high-speed one. The included cables can sometimes be faulty.
- Test a different input port on the monitor (HDMI 1 vs. HDMI 2).
- Check the connection at your graphics card. If it's loose, reseat it firmly.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Update your graphics driver. An outdated driver can cause intermittent signal dropouts. Download the latest directly from NVIDIA or AMD's website, perform a clean install.
HEADS UP Don't waste time in Windows Power & Sleep settings—those control when the *PC* sleeps, not the monitor's independent detection of signal loss. The monitor's own 'Auto Sleep' function in the OSD cannot be disabled; it's a hardware feature.
