The basket is overfilled with food. This prevents it from seating fully and engaging the safety switch.
- Remove the basket from the air fryer body.
- Remove approximately one-third of the food from the basket.
- Ensure the crisper plate is correctly and firmly inserted. Tilt it to insert one side first, then press down the other side.
- Re-insert the basket, pushing firmly until it clicks into place.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If the basket is not overfilled and still won't slide in, inspect for physical obstructions. Ensure no food debris or the crisper plate is misaligned and blocking the path. Do not force it.
HEADS UP: Overfilling causes uneven cooking and is a safety issue. Heaping amounts of food may touch the heating coils. Never use the air fryer without the basket in place.
