Diagnosis
The control panel has entered a lock mode, often triggered by a specific button sequence, or the main control board has a fault.
How to Fix It
1. Attempt to unlock the control panel. The standard method is to press and hold the "Lock" or "Control Lock" button for 3 seconds.
2. If no dedicated lock button exists, try pressing and holding both the "Warmer" and "Colder" buttons on the fridge display simultaneously for 3-5 seconds.
3. If the controls remain unresponsive, perform a hard reset. Unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet for 5 full minutes.
4. Plug the unit back in and wait 5 minutes for the system to reinitialize before attempting to adjust settings.
If That Didn't Work
The membrane on the touchpad control panel may have failed or the ribbon cable connecting it to the main board may be loose. This requires accessing the rear of the control housing. Check all wire harness connections to the main control board.
Heads Up
After a power outage or surge, the fridge may take up to 5 minutes to power on fully and accept input. Do not unplug and replug rapidly; allow the system to stabilize.
