the washable pad for my braava m6 is really dirty, can i just throw it in the washing machine?

Diagnosis

A dirty washable pad is normal after use, but machine washing is the intended and most effective cleaning method for the Braava Jet M6's reusable pads. The pad material is designed to withstand this cleaning process.

How to Fix It

To properly clean your pad in a washing machine:

1. Remove the pad from its plastic mounting frame.
2. Wash the pad alone or with other towels on a warm water cycle. Avoid using bleach or fabric softener.
3. After washing, air dry the pad completely before reuse. Do not put it in a clothes dryer, as the heat can damage the material.
4. Once fully dry, reattach the clean pad to its frame and click it back onto the robot.

If That Didn't Work

For persistent stains or if you prefer hand-washing:

1. Submerge the pad in warm water with a small amount of mild detergent.
2. Gently scrub the pad surface by hand to work out ground-in dirt, then rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear.
3. As with machine washing, allow the pad to air dry completely before the next use.

Heads Up

Always use a new or fully cleaned, dry pad for each mopping session. Never pre-wet or pre-soak the pad before attaching it to the Braava Jet M6, as the robot is designed to dispense the precise amount of cleaning solution and water needed during operation.
