water from my new ispring faucet is cloudy or has bubbles, is it safe to drink?

— asked by Sophia

Cloudy water with bubbles is normal after installation or filter changes.

Cause: Trapped air in the system.

Resolution:

  • The bubbles are harmless and will clear on their own.
  • They will disappear as the system flushes out the trapped air over several days.
  • No action is required. The water is safe.

Note: This is distinct from black water, which can occur when flushing new carbon filters. That should also clear with flushing.
