DIAGNOSIS Three prime suspects: a loose or cracked inlet hose connection, a leaking water inlet valve, or a punctured door bellows (rubber gasket).
FIX Turn off the water supply. Check where the fill hoses connect to the back of the washer. Tighten the couplings by hand. Check the hoses themselves for cracks. Run a test cycle.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Inspect the rubber door bellows for tears, especially near the bottom. Check the drain pump filter area for a loose cap or obstruction causing a backup.
HEADS UP Do not overtighten the inlet hose connections with a wrench. Hand-tight plus a quarter-turn is sufficient. Overtightening can crack the plastic valve housing.
