Diagnosis
A non-draining Auertech portable washer is almost always caused by a simple physical blockage or incorrect setup. The two most common culprits are a drain hose that isn't positioned correctly to create a proper siphon, or a lint filter that is clogged with debris from your wash. Less frequently, a large object like a sock can get sucked into and block the internal drain pump.
How to Fix It
- Check Drain Hose Position: The entire drain hose must be placed so its end is lower than the bottom of the washer's tub. Ensure it is securely hung over the edge of a sink, bathtub, or into a floor drain without any kinks or sharp bends that pinch the hose.
- Clean the Lint Filter: Locate the filter, typically at the back of the machine near the drain hose connection or inside the tub. Unscrew or unclip it, rinse it thoroughly under running water to remove all lint, hair, and soap scum, and reinstall it securely.
- Check for Pump Blockage: Unplug the washer. Carefully inspect the end of the drain hose and the hose inlet inside the machine for any trapped items. You can also try to gently clear any obstruction by blowing back through the hose from the drain end.
If That Didn't Work
If the hose is clear and positioned correctly, the issue may be a faulty drain pump. Listen carefully during a drain cycle. If you hear a humming sound but no water movement, the pump's impeller may be jammed or the motor may have failed. For a jam, you may attempt to dislodge it by gently rocking the machine. For a motor failure, contact Auertech customer support for repair or replacement, as the pump is an internal component.

Always unplug the portable washer from the electrical outlet before inspecting, cleaning, or handling any components, especially around water drainage paths, to avoid the risk of electric shock.
