forgot my netgear orbi admin password, how do i reset it?

If you've forgotten the admin password, you'll need to perform a factory reset. This erases all your custom settings.

Here are the steps:

1. Locate the recessed Reset button on the back of your Orbi router.
2. With the router powered on, use a paperclip or similar tool to press and hold the Reset button.
3. Continue holding for at least 10 seconds. Release the button when the Power LED starts blinking amber. The router will reboot with factory defaults.

After the reset:

• The default login username is admin.
• The default password is password (all lowercase).
• You will need to set up your WiFi name, password, and Internet connection again from scratch.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Ensure you're holding the Reset button long enough. The Power LED must change to a blinking amber. If it doesn't, the router may not be fully booted. Power cycle the router and try the reset again immediately after it powers on.

HEADS UP: Factory resetting the router does not automatically reset any connected satellites. You may need to re-sync them or factory reset them separately using their own Reset buttons.
