A solid amber Satellite LED indicates a sync failure. The connection between router and satellite is not established.
FIX:
- Power cycle both units. Unplug the satellite and router from power for 30 seconds, then plug the router back in first. Wait 2 minutes, then plug the satellite back in.
- Place the satellite closer to the router, in the same room, during the initial sync process.
- Press the Sync button on the back of the router, then within 2 minutes, press the Sync button on the back of the satellite.
- Wait for the satellite's LED to turn solid white. This can take up to a minute.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK:
- Check for physical obstructions or interference sources (large metal objects, microwaves) between the router and satellite.
- Perform a factory reset on the satellite using the recessed Reset button on the back. Hold it for 10 seconds with a paperclip, then attempt the sync process again from scratch.
