how do i block specific websites on my orbi wifi 6 mesh network for my kids?

Use the Keyword Blocking feature in the router's admin panel. First, access the router settings.

  • Launch a browser on a connected device, go to orbilogin.com, and log in as admin.
  • Navigate to ADVANCED > Security > Block Sites.

FIX: Configure blocking.

  1. Select a blocking option: Always (blocks all the time) or Per Schedule (blocks based on a schedule you set elsewhere).
  2. In the "Type keyword or domain name here" field, enter the exact keyword or domain you want to block. For example:
    • Enter xxx to block a site like http://www.badstuff.com/xxx.html.
    • Enter .com to allow only sites with suffixes like .edu or .gov.
    • Enter a single period . to block all Internet browsing access.
  3. Click the Add Keyword button. The keyword list supports up to 32 entries.
  4. Click the Apply button. Blocking takes effect immediately.

HEADS UP: This blocks sites accessed from any device on your network while the feature is active. To manage the schedule, go to the Schedule page (referenced in the Block Sites menu).
