Diagnosis
You need to avoid forcing water into the deck seam, charge port, or under the display, which houses the controller and battery connections.
How to Fix It
Use a damp cloth method, never a hose or pressure washer.
- Turn the scooter OFF.
- Wipe down the frame, stem, and handlebars with a cloth lightly dampened with water or a mild all-purpose cleaner. For the deck's textured surface, use a soft-bristle brush (like a dish brush) with soapy water.
- Immediately dry all surfaces with a separate, dry microfiber cloth.
- For the wheels and fender, a slightly wetter rag is fine. Avoid spraying liquid directly onto the axle or motor hub.
If That Didn't Work
For sticky grime on the grip tape, use a dedicated grip tape cleaner or a slightly stronger solution of isopropyl alcohol and water on the brush. Scrub gently and dry thoroughly.
Heads Up
The charge port cover is NOT waterproof. Never spray near it. If water gets in the port, do NOT plug in the charger. Dry it thoroughly with compressed air or by leaving it in a warm, dry place for 24 hours.
