Diagnosis
The scooter is likely stuck in a lower speed mode (Eco mode) or the battery management system is limiting output due to a weak cell group.
How to Fix It
First, rule out user error with the speed settings.
- While powered on, press the Mode button (next to the power button) repeatedly. Ensure the display shows "S" for Sport mode, not "E" for Eco. Sport mode unlocks full power and torque.
- Take it for a test ride. If power returns, you accidentally switched modes.
If That Didn't Work
A battery cell imbalance is causing premature voltage sag. Drain the battery to about 20%, then give it a full, uninterrupted 8+ hour charge. This allows the BMS to balance the cells. If the problem persists, the battery pack is degrading.
Heads Up
Cold weather drastically reduces battery performance and range. What feels like a power loss on a 40°F day is often just normal lithium-ion behavior.
