Diagnosis
The scooter is throwing a motor phase error, likely from a loose or corroded connection between the controller and the motor hub.
How to Fix It
Check and reseat the motor cable connector.
- Turn the scooter off and flip it upside down.
- Locate the thick cable running from the rear wheel hub into the deck. Follow it to its main connector near the controller.
- Unplug this connector, inspect for dirt or bent pins, blow it out, and firmly reconnect it. Ensure it clicks.
- Power on and test. This fixes it 80% of the time.
If That Didn't Work
The hall sensor inside the motor hub may be failing. This requires opening the motor, which isn't trivial. Before that, try a factory reset: power on, hold the brake lever and throttle together for 10 seconds until the display flashes.
Heads Up
If the connector was wet, let everything dry completely before reconnecting. Riding through deep puddles is a prime cause.
