i used vinegar in my bissell crosswave and now it's acting weird, is it broken?

— asked by Kevin

Vinegar can damage internal seals and components. This is considered improper use.

  • Immediate action: Run multiple rinse cycles with plain hot tap water only to flush the system.
  • Problem: The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use, which includes using cleaners not specified in the guide (like vinegar).

IF SYMPTOMS PERSIST: If the pump loses power, leaks internally, or makes new noises, the vinegar likely caused corrosion or seal damage. You will be responsible for repair costs.

HEADS UP: Only use BISSELL CrossWave formulas or plain hot tap water. Using other substances voids warranty coverage for any resultant damage.
