Diagnosis
The remote has likely lost its pairing with the main unit, or the infrared receiver window on the machine is obstructed. It's not a simple battery issue.
How to Fix It
Re-pair the remote to the machine. This is the most common fix.
- Ensure the HP07 is plugged in and on (the main power button light is on).
- Point the remote directly at the infrared sensor on the machine's base.
- Press and hold the POWER button on the remote for 10 full seconds. You won't see a light on the remote, but the machine should beep and respond.
- Test all buttons. Pairing is now restored.
If That Didn't Work
The remote itself may have a failed circuit board. Test the infrared emitter: use your smartphone camera (video mode) to look at the front of the remote while pressing any button. Through the phone screen, you should see a faint purple light flashing from the remote's LED if it's transmitting. No light = dead remote.
Heads Up
The remote uses infrared, NOT Bluetooth. It requires a direct, clear line of sight to the small, dark infrared window on the front of the machine's base. Any object, even a thin piece of paper, blocking that window will stop the signal.
