Diagnosis
The HP07's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi chip is notoriously finicky, especially with modern mesh networks or routers that combine 2.4GHz and 5GHz under one SSID. Connection drops are almost always a router compatibility issue.
How to Fix It
Force your router to treat the Dyson as a legacy 2.4GHz-only device.
- In your router's admin settings, temporarily disable the 5GHz band or create a separate, dedicated 2.4GHz network (e.g., "Home_Network_2G").
- On your phone, connect to this 2.4GHz-only network.
- Delete the HP07 from your Dyson Link app and factory reset the machine's Wi-Fi by holding the Wi-Fi button on the remote for 10+ seconds until the LED flashes.
- Run the setup process again while your phone is on the 2.4GHz network.
If That Didn't Work
The machine's Wi-Fi board might need a power cycle. Unplug the HP07 for 2 full hours (not minutes), then retry the setup process from scratch. This fully resets the network chip.
Heads Up
Once set up, if you switch your phone back to your main 5GHz network, the app will still control the machine. The phone and machine don't need to be on the same band to communicate.
