DIAGNOSIS The freezing cycle is being interrupted too soon. This is usually caused by the ambient room temperature being too warm or the unit being in a draft.

FIX Move the ice maker. It needs to be in a room at or below 77°F (25°C), away from direct sunlight, ovens, vents, or windows. Give it at least 5 inches of clearance on all sides for airflow.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The unit might be in "Speed" mode (indicated by a fast-flashing light). Press the Power button once to turn it off, then press and hold the Select button for 3 seconds to switch it back to the standard ice-making cycle.

HEADS UP In "Speed" mode, the ice is deliberately thinner to produce a batch faster—it's not a malfunction, just a different setting.
