DIAGNOSIS The most likely cause is an incomplete connection between the container and the motor base, or a tripped thermal safety fuse in the base.
FIX
- Unplug the base from the wall for a full 60 seconds. This resets the internal thermal protector.
- While unplugged, ensure the blending container or food processor bowl is completely empty and correctly locked onto the base with a firm, audible *click*.
- Plug the unit back into a different, known-working outlet. Do not use a power strip or extension cord.
- Press the power button. You should see the control panel light up.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Inspect the power cord for any kinks, cuts, or damage, especially where it enters the motor base. Also, check the drive socket on the base for any foreign objects (like a piece of food) that might be preventing the container from seating fully.
HEADS UP If the unit overheated from a previous extended use or overload, it can take up to 30 minutes of being unplugged to cool down enough for the thermal fuse to reset. Let it sit in a cool place.
