the food processor bowl on my kitchen system leaks from the bottom when i'm making dough or something wet.

DIAGNOSIS Liquid is seeping past the silicone sealing ring on the multi-purpose blade shaft. This happens if the ring is damaged, missing, or not seated in its groove properly.

FIX

  • Remove the food processor bowl from the base and take out the blade assembly.
  • Locate the black silicone O-ring (gasket) around the center post of the blade. It sits in a specific groove.
  • Remove the O-ring, wash it, and inspect it for nicks, tears, or stretching.
  • Ensure it is perfectly seated in its groove before reattaching the blade to the bowl. The bowl's lid must also be locked down fully.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The leak might be coming from a hairline crack in the plastic of the bowl itself, especially around the center hole where the blade attaches. Hold the empty, clean bowl up to a light and look for cracks. The bowl may need replacement.

HEADS UP Never run the food processor without the sealing ring in place. Also, for very wet mixtures, avoid overfilling the bowl past the recommended 'MAX' line, as pressure can force liquid past even a good seal.
