the auto-iq smoothie program stops way too early and my smoothie is still chunky, what's the point?

DIAGNOSIS You're likely using the wrong container for the program, or the pre-programmed cycle time is simply insufficient for your specific ingredients (e.g., whole frozen fruit).

FIX

  • Confirm you are using the main Blending Container (the tall pitcher), not the food processor bowl. The Auto-iQ programs are calibrated for specific containers.
  • For the 'Smoothie' program, layer ingredients in this order: liquids first, then soft fruits/yogurt, then frozen or hardest items on top. This creates a natural vortex.
  • If it still stops early, simply press the 'Smoothie' button again to run a second, consecutive cycle. This is common for very thick or frozen-heavy recipes.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Manually use the pulse function. Hold the pulse button in 2-3 second bursts, using the tamper (if your set includes one) to push ingredients toward the blades between pulses. This gives you full control.

HEADS UP The Auto-iQ programs are timed guides, not infallible recipes. They assume a 'standard' smoothie recipe. If you deviate heavily (e.g., all frozen fruit, no banana, adding greens), you will almost always need to extend the blend time manually.
