DIAGNOSIS A complete lack of power indicates a failure in the electrical supply or a tripped thermal fuse on the control board. The most common point of failure is the lid switch/lock assembly, which must be engaged for any function.
FIX Follow this checklist. 1) Confirm the power cord is firmly plugged into a working outlet. 2) Test the outlet with another device. 3) Check your home's circuit breaker or GFCI outlet for the laundry room. Reset if tripped. 4) Listen for a distinct 'click' when closing the lid. If silent, the lid lock mechanism may have failed.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If power is confirmed and the lid clicks, the main control board may have a blown thermal fuse or failed component. This requires a multimeter to test. Unplug the machine and access the control panel. Visually inspect the board for burn marks or a swollen capacitor.
