Diagnosis: You want to use another device on your network as the DHCP server.
Procedure:
- From a connected device, access orbilogin.com. Log in as admin.
- Navigate to ADVANCED > Setup > LAN Setup.
- Clear the checkbox for Use Router as DHCP Server.
- Click Apply.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Verify your other DHCP server is active and configured correctly before disabling DHCP on the Orbi. Once disabled, if no other DHCP server is present, devices will not get IP addresses automatically.
HEADS UP: After disabling the Orbi's DHCP server, you must manually set the IP address, subnet mask, DNS server, and default gateway on every device on your network. The default gateway address should be set to the LAN IP address of the Orbi router (usually 192.168.1.1).
