Diagnosis
The most common leak source is the door boot seal (bellows). Small items or wear can tear it. Second is a clogged drain system causing overflow.
How to Fix It
Inspect the rubber door boot seal thoroughly. Run your fingers around the entire inner and outer fold. Look for holes, tears, or a lodged object like a sock or coin. Remove any debris. Check if the seal is properly seated in its channel.
If That Didn't Work
The leak may be from the drain pump or its connections. Check the drain pump filter housing for cracks or a loose connection. Also verify the drain hose at the back of the washer is securely attached to the pump and hasn't come loose.
Heads Up
Never use sharp tools to clean or probe the door seal. You will puncture it. If the seal is torn, it must be replaced. A leaking seal will eventually damage the floor and cause a moldy smell.
