This occurs when the charger detects a connection to the battery but cannot establish a stable current flow. Alternatively, this flashing state often signals that the battery has fallen below the "critical voltage threshold." When the lithium-ion cells drop too low (deep discharge), the BMS enters a protection mode to prevent the battery from overheating or venting during a recharge. In this state, the charger recognizes the battery is present but refuses to push current into it for safety reasons, resulting in the rhythmic flashing light. You can confirm this by checking if the vacuum's LCD screen remains completely black even when docked; if the screen is dead and the light is flashing, the battery is likely in a deep-sleep or failed state.
How to Fix It
Follow these precise steps to reset the charging circuit and clear physical obstructions:
- Disconnect the charger from the wall outlet and wait 60 seconds to discharge the internal capacitors.
- Remove the vacuum from the docking station. Use a cotton swab dipped in 90% isopropyl alcohol to scrub the two gold charging contact points on the rear of the vacuum body. Apply firm pressure to remove any invisible oxidation or grime.
