DIAGNOSIS You want to remove the battery, either to check the model, reset it, or inspect the contacts.
FIX Press and hold the red battery release button on the top of the vacuum, near where the handle meets the body. While holding it, firmly pull the battery pack straight up and away from the vacuum. It requires a good tug.
IF THAT DIDN’T WORK Ensure you’re pressing the correct button—it’s red and on the top/rear, not the grey trigger or mode buttons on the front. If it’s stuck, try pressing the release button in further while wiggling the battery side-to-side slightly.
HEADS UP The battery terminals are exposed when removed; avoid touching them together or letting metal objects contact them.
