DIAGNOSIS Weak suction is almost always a blockage or a dirty filter. The cyclone intake or the wand connection points are common blockage spots.
FIX Disassemble the vacuum: remove the wand, then the cleaner head, and look through the airways. Check the clear bin’s cyclone shroud for a clump of dust. Next, wash the main filter under cold water until the water runs clear and let it dry for a full 24 hours.
IF THAT DIDN’T WORK Check the pre-filter (a small grey foam ring) located where the bin attaches to the motor. If it’s missing or damaged, fine dust can bypass the main filter and clog the post-motor filter, which isn’t user-serviceable.
HEADS UP Tapping out a dirty filter isn’t enough—it needs a full water rinse every 1-3 months depending on use.
