Diagnosis
The grill is underperforming. The primary suspects are a dirty temperature sensor, overloading the cooking zone, or using a program not suited for the food's thickness.
How to Fix It
- Clean the temperature probe. Unplug the grill. The probe is on the left side of the cooking pot. Wipe it down with a damp cloth to remove any grease or residue.
- Don't overload. For even cooking, ensure food is in a single layer with space between pieces. Covering more than 70% of the grill grate will block airflow and heat.
- For thick cuts, ignore the smart program's timer and use the probe thermometer. Insert it into the thickest part. Cook to the safe internal temperature, not a preset time.
If That Didn't Work
The Smart Program may be miscalibrated. Manually select the function (e.g., Grill/Air Fry) and set a higher temperature (e.g., 400°F+) and time, using the probe to monitor doneness.
Heads Up
The Smart Programs are guides. Always verify doneness with a physical thermometer, especially for poultry and pork. Ambient room temperature and food starting temperature (frozen vs. thawed) drastically affect cook time.
