Diagnosis
The grill isn't completing the Wi-Fi handshake. The most common cause is the 2.4 GHz vs. 5 GHz network conflict or an incorrect password.
How to Fix It
- Confirm your phone is on a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band. The grill cannot connect to 5 GHz networks. Most routers broadcast both; you may need to temporarily disable the 5 GHz band in your router settings.
- During setup in the Ninja app, type the Wi-Fi password manually—do not use autofill or password managers, as they can add hidden characters.
- Place the grill and your phone close to the router during setup.
If That Didn't Work
Factory reset the grill's connection. Unplug it for 30 seconds, plug it back in, and immediately press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the control panel for 5+ seconds until the light starts blinking rapidly. Then restart the setup process in the app.
Heads Up
The app connectivity is only for remote monitoring and recipe steps; all core cooking functions work manually on the grill without it.
