Diagnosis
You overloaded and stalled the motor. The ice cream mixture was too thick and solid, causing the motor to overheat and potentially burn its windings.
How to Fix It
Stop immediately.
- Unplug the base. Do not try to restart it.
- Let it cool completely for several hours.
- After cooling, plug it in and try a simple low-speed water blend. If the burning smell returns or it doesn't run, the motor is damaged.
If That Didn't Work
If it runs but smells faintly, the thermal cut-off may have saved it. Run it empty on a low speed for 30 seconds in a well-ventilated area to clear any residual odor.
Heads Up
This blender is powerful, but it's not a commercial ice cream machine. For frozen desserts, always use the 'Ice Crush' or 'Frozen Drink' programmed cycles, which use controlled pulses, and never pack solidly frozen blocks into the pitcher.
