Diagnosis
Complete power failure. This is almost always a thermal overload or a disconnected power cord.
How to Fix It
First, unplug the vacuum. Let it sit for 45-60 minutes to cool completely. Check the power cord connection at the back of the vacuum body. Ensure it is fully seated and clicked into place. Plug the cord directly into a wall outlet, bypassing any power strips.
If That Didn't Work
Inspect the entire length of the power cord for damage. The thermal overload protector is located near the motor housing. If it has tripped due to a clog or motor strain, it must cool to reset. A persistently tripped protector indicates a motor fault.
Heads Up
Never run the vacuum for more than 30 minutes continuously. Overheating can permanently damage the thermal protector or motor windings.
