Diagnosis
The vacuum is not adjusting height correctly. The most likely cause is a jammed height adjustment lever or obstructed wheels.
How to Fix It
1. Turn off and unplug. Tip the vacuum back to inspect the height adjustment lever on the front.
2. Move the lever through all settings (from 'bare floor' to 'max pile'). Feel for binding.
3. Check the front wheels and the large rear wheel for wound hair, string, or carpet fibers.
4. Clear all obstructions from the wheels and axles with scissors or a seam ripper.
5. Ensure the brushroll is installed correctly and the end caps are seated in their bearings.
If That Didn't Work
The problem may be a worn or incorrect replacement brushroll. An aftermarket brushroll may not have the correct bristle length or stiffness for the Stratos system.
Heads Up
Running the vacuum on too low a height setting for thick carpet creates excessive drag, overheats the belt, and reduces cleaning performance.
