Diagnosis
The 'ICE FULL' indicator is triggered by an infrared sensor inside the ice basket. If this light is on but the basket isn't full, the sensor is likely blocked by frost, ice shavings, or dust, or is being tricked by bright light. A less common cause is a temporary control board error that needs a reset.
How to Fix It
- Unplug the Antarctic Star Hzb 12 B from the wall outlet.
- Remove the ice basket and empty any ice. Inspect the small infrared sensor window (usually a plastic lens) on the side wall of the basket compartment.
- Use a dry, soft cloth to gently clean the sensor window and the area around it, removing any frost or debris.
- Plug the unit back in. With the empty basket correctly placed inside, press and hold the 'Select' button on the control panel for 5 seconds until you hear a beep. This manual override will force the icemaker to run for approximately 10 more cycles, clearing the 'ICE FULL' signal.
If That Didn't Work
If the light returns after the override cycles, the problem is environmental or the sensor itself. Ensure the unit is not in direct sunlight or where bright reflections can hit the basket area, as this confuses the infrared sensor. Move it to a shadier location. If the problem persists, the sensor may be faulty; you can often continue using the unit by manually resetting it with the 'Select' button whenever the light comes on incorrectly.

Always unplug the appliance before cleaning any internal components. The manual override is a temporary diagnostic step; if the sensor is defective, the icemaker may eventually stop producing ice altogether and require professional service.
