A flashing orange light on the Machine LED (the Mode button) indicates an incompatible tool is attached.
- Machine LED solid blue, green, or red: Normal operation.
- Machine LED flashing blue, green, or red: Battery low.
- Machine LED solid orange: Motor fault.
- Machine LED flashing orange: Incompatible tool.
- Machine LED flashing white: Cyclone not fitted correctly.
FIX: Disconnect the machine from the charger. Remove the current tool or cleaner head. Ensure you are using an official Dyson V8 tool. Reattach the tool or cleaner head firmly, making sure it clicks into place on the wand or main body.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Check that the cyclone is fitted correctly. If the light is flashing white, remove and reseat the cyclone. Slide it into the grooves of the main body and push down until it is in position, then push the bin base up until it clicks shut.
HEADS UP: Tools and cleaner heads can be attached either to the wand or directly to the main body. If using the wand, it must also be connected to the main body.
