The triple-beep error code on the Eufy RoboVac G30 Edge is a specific system alert indicating a "Brush Jam" or "Motor Overload." This occurs when the internal sensors detect that the main roller brush or the side spinning brushes are meeting too much resistance to rotate at the required RPM. When the motor draws excessive current to overcome a physical blockage, the firmware triggers an emergency shutdown to prevent the drive motor from overheating or burning out. This is most commonly caused by "hair winding," where long strands of hair, carpet fibers, or pet fur wrap tightly around the ends of the roller brush. Over time, these wraps compress into a hard plastic-like ring that puts immense pressure on the brush bearings. You can confirm this is the issue by attempting to spin the main brush manually while the unit is off; if it doesn't spin freely with a light flick, the motor is being physically choked.
How to Fix It
To resolve the triple-beep jam, follow these precise steps to clear the drive assembly:
- Power down the G30 Edge completely using the power switch located on the side of the chassis to prevent accidental activation during cleaning.
- Flip the vacuum upside down on a soft surface to avoid scratching the top sensor dome.
- Locate the main brush roll cover. Press the two release tabs on the sides of the plastic frame and lift the cover straight up and away from the vacuum.
- Lift the main roller brush out of the housing. Examine both the left and right ends of the brush. You will likely find thick clumps of hair wrapped around the end caps.
- Use a pair of precision scissors or a seam ripper to cut through the hair wraps. Do not pull the hair outward, as this can stretch the bristles; instead, cut lengthwise and peel the debris away from the axle.
- Reach inside the brush housing and check the drive gear (the square peg). Ensure no small pebbles or toy fragments are lodged in the gear teeth.
- Slide the brush back into the housing, ensuring the end caps are seated flush against the bearings.
- Snap the brush cover back into place. You should hear a distinct "click" on both sides; if the cover is slightly ajar, the vacuum may still trigger a jam error.
- Flip the unit over, power it on, and press the "Start" button to test the cycle.
If That Didn't Work
- Inspect the Side Brushes: If the main brush is clear, the triple beep can be triggered by the side spinning brushes. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the center screw of the side brush. Pull the brush off its peg and remove any hair wrapped around the base of the spindle. If the brush is bent or warped, it may be rubbing against the chassis, causing a motor overload.
- Check for Wheel Obstructions: While the brush is the primary culprit, a jammed caster wheel or a piece of debris wedged in the main drive wheels can occasionally mimic this error. Use a can of compressed air to blow out the wheel axles and ensure the front omni-wheel spins freely in all directions.
- Perform a Hard Reset: If the brushes are physically clear but the error persists, the sensor may be "stuck" in an error state. Turn the power switch OFF, wait 60 seconds, then turn it back ON. This clears the volatile memory and resets the motor current sensors.
- Examine the Brush Motor Gear: If you hear a grinding noise accompanying the beeps, the internal plastic gear may have stripped. This requires removing the bottom plate of the vacuum to inspect the motor coupling; if the gear is stripped, the brush assembly will need to be replaced entirely.

- Weekly Maintenance: If you have pets or long-haired residents, the G30 Edge requires brush cleaning every 7 days. Allowing hair to build up compresses the bearings and permanently weakens the motor.
- Avoid Wet Debris: Never use the G30 Edge to pick up damp spills. Wet hair and dust create a "paste" that hardens around the axle, which is significantly harder to remove and can lead to permanent motor failure.
- Check Cover Alignment: Always ensure the brush cover is fully seated. A gap of even 2mm can cause the brush to shift during operation, leading to an immediate triple-beep shutdown.
- Replacement Cycle: Replace the main roller brush every 3-6 months. Once the bristles lose their stiffness, they tend to tangle more easily, increasing the frequency of jam errors.
