DIAGNOSIS Condensation forms when warm, humid room air contacts the cold glass surface. This is normal in high-humidity environments but indicates excessive door openings or a high thermostat setting.
FIX Lower the internal humidity. Ensure the unit is level so the door seals properly. Adjust the thermostat to a warmer setting, between 45-50°F. A higher internal temperature reduces the temperature differential at the glass.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Check the door gasket. Wipe it clean and inspect for tears or permanent kinks. A compromised seal allows moist air to seep in constantly. Manually warm the glass with a dry cloth during high-humidity periods to break the cycle.
HEADS UP Do not use anti-fog sprays or coatings on the tempered glass. They can damage the surface. Condensation is primarily a cosmetic issue and does not typically indicate a failure unless it is accompanied by pooling water on the bottom shelf.
