it keeps missing big patches of floor, just goes around them like they're not there

Quick answer: The robot's LiDAR navigation sensor, located on top, is dirty or obstructed. This prevents accurate room mapping and coverage.

Diagnosis

The robot's LiDAR navigation sensor, located on top, is dirty or obstructed. This prevents accurate room mapping and coverage.

How to Fix It

Power off the robot. Locate the rotating laser turret under the clear dome on top. Use a dry microfiber cloth to gently wipe the entire clear dome and the spinning lens window. Ensure no objects like tall vases are placed on the robot.

If That Didn't Work

The room may be too dark. The LiDAR sensor requires ambient light. Turn on lights or open shades during cleaning cycles.

Heads Up

Never place items on top of the robot. Never spray cleaners directly onto the LiDAR dome.
