Diagnosis
The dustbin is overfull, the filter is clogged, or a large object is stuck in the docking station's suction path.
How to Fix It
- Empty the dock's disposable dust bag, even if it doesn't look full. Replace it if it's been over a month.
- Remove the robot's dustbin. Tap out the fine dust, then remove the bin's HEPA filter. Tap it gently against a trash can to dislodge dust—do not wash it.
- Check the suction port on the dock and the corresponding port on the robot for blockages (like a sock, large twist tie, or clump of hair).
If That Didn't Work
The dock's internal fan or motor might be failing. The noise will be a consistent high-pitched whine or rattle, not just a laboring sound. This requires service.
Heads Up
Never vacuum up large, hard objects like coins or Legos. They can jam the robot's bin or get sucked into the dock's plumbing, causing immediate motor strain.
