Diagnosis
This is hard water detergent residue. You're either using too much detergent, the wrong type, or your rinse aid dispenser is empty/off.
How to Fix It
Adjust your detergent and rinse aid settings immediately.
- First, fill the rinse aid dispenser to the max line. On the control panel, set the Rinse Aid setting to at least level 4 (or higher if you have very hard water).
- Use only about 1 tablespoon of a good-quality gel or pod detergent. Powder can cake if the unit isn't used daily.
- Run a clean cycle with a dishwasher cleaner to remove buildup.
If That Didn't Work
Your home's water may be exceptionally hard. Install an inline water softener or use a detergent specifically formulated for hard water.
Heads Up
Never use regular dish soap. More detergent is not better—it causes this exact problem. The built-in soil sensor adjusts water use, so excess suds just get redeposited.
