Diagnosis
Moisture or condensation has gotten behind the touch-sensitive control panel, causing a short or 'phantom' presses.
How to Fix It
Dry out the control area with a focused reset.
- Turn off power at the breaker for 1 hour. This lets any internal condensation evaporate.
- While powered off, gently wipe the entire panel dry with a soft cloth.
- Restore power and immediately press and hold 'Start/Resume' and 'Heated Dry' for 3 seconds to reset the controls.
If That Didn't Work
The touchpad assembly itself is faulty—a known issue. It's a single unit behind the panel that requires replacement. Constant phantom presses confirm this.
Heads Up
Avoid direct sprays or steam on the control panel when cleaning the kitchen. The seal around the touchpad can degrade, and moisture is its primary enemy.
